Directed by Laura Frye, our second show of the season is Men on Boats by Jaclyn Backhaus. It is a lively, imaginative retelling of explorer John Wesley Powell’s daring 1869 expedition down the Colorado River. Featuring a cast of women performers portraying the all-male crew, the play blends adventure, humor, and history as the explorers face raging rapids, dwindling supplies, and clashing personalities while charting the unknown American West.
