DA Theatre Sets New Record at 2024 District 2 Thespian Competition

December 14th brought warm weather, bright sunny skies, and many accolades to our DA theatre students at the District 2 Thespian Competition. Pulsating, infectious energy filled our school as theatre students from high schools throughout the district showcased their talents in acting, singing, choreography, as well as technical theatre. Talent, hard work, and dedication shone through in all our performances, winning a record 14 Critic’s Choice awards, along with 10 Alternates and 3 scholarship recipients.

🏆 “Choir Boy” is representing District 2 at State for Performance!

🏆Senior PT major Klaira Higginbotham was 1st Runner-Up for her Directing project “Macbeth” in the Technical category.

🏆Samuel Nelson, Klaira Higginbotham, and Kevin Wright all received scholarships!
