Enrichment Fee Information

The Douglas Anderson School of the Arts Enrichment Fee program is critical to bridging the gap between public school funding and the funding required to provide educational tools necessary for specialized levels of training for a performing arts school. EVERY ARTS AREA at DA has an enrichment fee to support each student’s arts department.
To be eligible to audition for shows, parents must complete Enrichment Fee Acknowledgement Form.
The 2026-27 Theatre Department Enrichment Fee is $175, and we use these funds in a variety of ways:

Curriculum Support: subscription services for class materials (plays, scripts, scores, sheet music, tech design), ink for printing of class materials and renderings, consumable tech supplies and materials, new faculty start-up mini grants to build classroom supplies and teaching materials

Hospitality: Audition Snacks, Senior Banquet, etc.

Student Experiences: help defray costs associated with the Guest Artist Series, District Thespians, and other field studies and competitions including registration assistance, travel, and refreshments

Communication and Branding: Theatre Boosters website and social media maintenance and subscriptions, DA Theatre student jackets and water bottles.

Booster Administration: federal and state filing fees, payment processing fees, QuickBooks, other administrative supply costs.
Annual Theatre Department Enrichment Fee is $175
We have DECREASED enrichment fees by $75 for the 26-27 school year with expectation of 100% participation from ALL Theatre families. We offer a $25 early bird discount if paid before September 1, 2026. Families receive a 50% discount on all siblings after the first student. For example, if Jane and Mary are sisters in the Theatre Department, their total family Enrichment Fee is $262.50 ($175 for Jane and $87.50 for Mary).
Show Fees for Cast Member and Tech Crew
Since we have decreased enrichment fees this year, we will collect a “show fee” from kids cast in the shows and from tech crew that are present for tech week (this does not include tech that comes for build days only.) When cast lists are announced you will receive an email with a link to pay your child’s show fees.
Musical Cast- $75
Play Cast- $50
Tech Week Tech Crew- $25
These fees help with sets, costumes and TECH MEALS! We feel this system is more equitable for the theatre program in general as many kids aren’t cast in shows until they are upperclassmen. These fees will go specifically to offset each show’s expenses.
While the Theatre Department relies heavily on these fees to fill funding gaps, we understand that full financial support may not be possible for your family. Please consider these additional options to fulfill the Enrichment Fee requirement:

Participate in department fundraisers and receive a portion of sales as credit towards your Enrichment Fee.

Volunteer! Every Booster volunteer shift fulfilled on behalf of a student is worth $20 of Enrichment Fee credit.

The Theatre Boosters has a goal of 100% participation in the Enrichment Fee program from our Theatre Department Families to make our 2026-27 budget. If for any reason you are unable to pay this in full before September 1, 2026, please contact us directly (treasurer@datheaterbooster.org) for other available options to fulfill this important need (fundraisers, volunteering, payment plans, etc.).
